Sharing a Vision for Real-World AI

PAICON’s Co-founder and CTO, Dr. Christian Aichmüller, presented at the Applied Science Meetup: Algorithms with Impact, organized by TUM Venture Labs at the TUM Campus Heilbronn. The event gathered an inspiring group of researchers, entrepreneurs, and healthcare professionals dedicated to bridging the gap between academic innovation and clinical practice.

From Research to Real-World Solutions

In his keynote, he shared PAICON’s journey of transforming complex, multimodal cancer data into meaningful clinical outcomes using artificial intelligence. He illustrated how PAICON addresses the challenges of implementing AI in regulated healthcare environments by ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with critical standards such as ISO 13485.

A central theme of his talk was the importance of data diversity as the foundation for trustworthy medical AI. He emphasized that moving beyond academic research to create real-world impact requires a comprehensive approach—not just technical excellence, but also expertise in product development, regulatory strategy, and seamless integration into healthcare systems.

Building Bridges from Research to Patient Care

The Applied Science Meetup offered a valuable platform for in-depth discussions on advancing scientific algorithms into patient care. Attendees explored ways to overcome the barriers that often prevent promising research from reaching the clinic, highlighting the importance of collaboration between scientists, technologists, and healthcare providers.

PAICON is proud to have contributed to this vibrant exchange of ideas and extends sincere thanks to TUM Venture Labs for organizing such a thought-provoking event. We remain committed to driving innovation that turns scientific discoveries into tools that improve patient lives.
